Morth Smooni Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church Ghala, Muscat is a treasure trove of wonders. It has been 9 years since the church forms and unites as a parish in the name of Morth Smooni. It has been 2 .5 years since the church was built and worshiping started at the church. At this point, it would be great to remember thankfully Commander Dr. Thomas Alexander who headed the construction of the church. Thanking and praising the Lord God for blessing us abundantly. Morth Smooni Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church was blissful to receive Holy Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II twice during these 2.5 years. We believe that choosing Morth Smooni Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church as the podium of the Episcopal Synod of the Holy Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church was God’s act.
H.G. Mor Osthatheos Ishaq installed the sacred relics of mother Morth Smooni at Morth Smooni Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Ghala.
The church has around 190 active parishioners working together for the betterment of the church. The presence of God at the church can be proclaimed by bringing up the examples of miracles of healing of the affected and blessing the couples with children. Believers from all over Muscat come to the church to pray, regardless of church affiliation.
I pray that by the boundless mercy of God this church will grow forward.
